The Fitzroy River is the lifeline of the Kimberley and features
in creation stories of the Nyikina and other groups.
The Fitzroy River connects a number of Australian Aboriginal cultures.
Madjulla Inc is concerned with the social and cultural wellbeing

participation in programs addressing the needs of youth and promoting

Nyikina people of Western Australia. Our country covers

river mardoowarra (say ma-rdoo-wa-rra). We call ourselves imardoowarra
